BeeComm Integration Plugin

Overview

This project was a custom WordPress plugin for restaurant e-commerce. The goal was to connect WooCommerce orders to the restaurant's operational flow so online purchases could be handled immediately on site.

My role

Full-stack WordPress plugin developer.

Engineering challenges

The core challenge was bridging e-commerce behavior with real-world restaurant operations. Orders needed to move reliably from WooCommerce into an environment where timing, printing, and communication affected the kitchen in real time.

Implementation notes

I implemented the plugin in PHP on top of WordPress and WooCommerce, added SMS notifications for status updates, and built custom logic around order handling and kitchen load calculation.

Outcomes

The result was a more operationally useful ordering flow that connected the storefront with on-site fulfillment. It demonstrates custom plugin development, systems thinking, and comfort with integration-heavy work.
